GYATTTTTTTTTTTT

is anyone else having there screen cut off and no fulscreen button and if so do you know how to fix it?

Hey I was playing this game and did everything up until the gold key and now I'm stuck because I cant find anything else and I looked at walkthroughs and stuff but I couldn't find out what to do after unlocking the basement and the moms room key is there anyone who could help?

Did you go to the laboratory in the 1st floor? You need to activate a switch there and then go to the second floor, go up the stairs and head to the attic

ok thanks il try it

how do I open the locked gate in the lab?

The puzzle with the flasks and the doll? The code is 140

thanks I figured it out, I really enjoyed this game!

I loved this game! Greta is so cute! :3

Thank you so much! : D

Yeah, there's a censorship mode that adds a censor bar at certain scenes

i see, thanks

This scene is integral to my enjoyment of the game.

hahahaha, I'm not even sure why I included that. It was totally random

I watched Kubz Scouts play the original, I played this remake, I like it. I love this game series! This was really really good!

Ohh thank you so much, I really appreciate it! : D

This game is great! Huge upgrade from its OG counterpart. Spookier moments, better puzzles, and a prettier Greta! I also loved Alesa's new suit lol, the boob window goes crazy. I think this is my favorite Alesa game so far! Really looking forward to the next installments, keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for your words! : D

at first I thought there was almost no difference with the original, but in the end it really took a different turn...
but something never changes - Greta is still a sweetie<3
can't wait to see how the story continues:)

While I do plan to make sequels to the remake, I might also go back to the classic timeline. I mean, Vanesa is still there and Alesa probably had many adventures before her death and after the events of the third game

(1 edit)

"A Spaceship for Vanesa"?:)
(since she's Alesa's granddaughter, it will be something futuristic I guess?:)

god this is so fucking annoying i was like replaying the game, i already were in lab,and my game just crashed and when i opened the game all my saves was deleted, what the fuck is that i'm tired of replaying this game for the hundreth time, just fix it already

If you're playing the browser version, it's probably related to your internet or your browser. If you're playing in private browsing mode, then your files won't be kept.

The game is not broken, it has been tested multiple times and there's nothing wrong with the save system. The same applies to the downloadable version.

(-1)
don’t play through the browser, I downloaded the game, I just play and at some point the game just crashes and when I go into the game again my saves are gone...

It definitely has to do with your computer or your operating system. Are you able to save your file in other games made in Rpg Maker MZ?
This is very strange and no one else seems to have this problem

how to save the file in other games?

I mean, have you played other games made in Rpg Maker MZ that have a save feature? I don't mean a specific one but rather in general. Most of them allow you to save anywhere and it's the same save system used in this game.

Also, your problem with save files might have to do with the folder where you extracted the game. If you extracted it in a folder that requires administrator privileges, then that's probably why you can't save.

Are you playing the browser version? If that's the case, it might be related to that. Perhaps you deleted your cache/cookies or you were playing in private browsing mode, so your saves weren't kept.

That was amazing!

I was excited to see a remake just a couple of months after I played the original. Even though it's a different timeline, the story is very similar, which is nice because the story was already really good. I also like the new art, cards, and unlockable art gallery. The only thing I would like to see different is being able to play all of the endings myself. I'd absolutely love to see more horror oriented sequels to this one!

(+1)

Thank you so much! I might release sequels to this timeline and maybe bring back characters from the other timeline, but with a more serious approach

El juego me sorprendio mucho de verdad, lo jugue sin esperar nada y me sorprendio tremenda historia 9/10

I decided to check out Manly's playthrough of the original game before writing this, but I believe that A House For Alesa Remake has definitely made leaps and bounds in quality over the original.

The atmosphere of the game is undeniably unsettling, making clever sparing use of various scares that kept me anxious throughout the game. I love how there's more of a focus on the various characters, adding subtle elements of cosmic horror to the lore.

To me, I would consider this a certified classic - comparative to RPG Horror classics like Ib and Mad Father. This has left me itching to try playing the original sequels to A House For Alesa.

Thank you so much, it means a lot!

Mad Father is one of my favorite games ever and one of my main inspirations for a lot of my games, so having A House for Alesa compared to such an amazing game is an honor : D (although A House for Alesa is miles away from being as awesome and classic as Mad Father, but it's still an honor!)

Thank you for your kind words! : D

This is not at all a game I was expecting after playing the original Alesa game (And watching Kubz Scouts play it I believe) Thank you for making this though! The character design is amazing.

(+1)

Thanks to you for playing it! : D

what is the code for the doll

(1 edit)

Which doll? Basement or laboratory? Also, all the solutions for the puzzles can be found in the Puzzles guide.txt file (when you download the game, you can choose to just download that file)

I have a question when will you release Discarded Doll?

I played the demo eight months ago it was a really good game.

(+2)

Back then, I stopped working on that one after I started making the Alesa games, but I've been slowly getting back to it. I might change a few things, like the battle system and the potraits, but I do plan to release the full version this year

Thank you

This one was a surprise for sure but a welcome one, also a little bit hard to judge since I hold the original very high on my favorite indie games list but I did my best to be unbiased and fair.

If I was forced to choose I would pick this one over the original mostly because the story and lore are so much better in sync with the rest of the games and it has a lot more of tidbits about the world, it feels more grounded too.

I still like a lot of things about the original one, specially the family design but this one has a lot of good things too, the highlight would definitely be the new dead CGs they are UNREAL, I was surprised at how good and bloody they are, specially the lamp ending!

The new portraits get a little bit of getting used to as a returning player but they are not bad by any means, I actually fell in love with the Greta one, superb; All the new things like collecting the cards and art are a nice touch and add some replayability, sadly I missed one of the cards...

The new puzzles and areas add a lot, specially for someone that played the original and was not expecting a challenge from this one, the doll house i a great section specially with the new Greta lore, I still missed some things from the original, the screaming bathroom guy to be more specific haha.

Overall I agree that this is the definitive way to experience the Game, my suggested order would be:

Alesa 1 > REMAKE > Alesa 2 > Alesa 3

It's nice to see you here still making great games as usual, thank you for your hard work!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much Moriko, amazing review as always!
Originally, I planned for the remake to be just a graphical upgrade, keeping the story and events exactly as they were in the original. However, I always felt the story in the first one was a mess and I wanted to give Greta more screen time, so I decided to do some sort of "remaimagining" of the original, with some easter eggs/hints to 2 and 3 (there was no mention of Zagaracathal in the first game so this was a perfect opportunity for that).

Redesigning the characters was pretty fun (and also frustrating, since there had to be coherence and consistency between the sprites and the portraits), but I definitely agree that some of the original designs were more uncanny and creepy.

The card you missed was in the basement, below one of the dolls in a wheelchair. After the doll moves, you can go back to that area and pick up the card.

I considered keeping the screaming man but since originally he wasn't supposed to be there (I mean, in the original), I thought it would be better not having him there.

By the way, this takes place in a different universe/timeline, so that's why the plot is heading in a different direction, and the villains have/will have different backstories. I might continue working on this timeline, but the sequels would be named in a different way.

Anyway

As always, thank you so much for playing and your amazing feedback Moriko!

Thank you! I hope you like it!

I love this series keep up the amazing work! :)

Thank you! : D

(+2)

Yesss, I can never get enough of this series lol. I look forward to playing it!!! Probably won't have time this week but I will comment again when I do. :3

(+2)

Thank you! : ) I  kind of wanted to reboot the series and make it more horror oriented instead of some sort of comedy, so this is the first step. This takes place in a different timeline/universe and doesn't take into account the other games

are you planning to remake 2nd and 3rd games too?😮

(1 edit) (+1)

I would like to make sequels forthe remake, but they would have nothing to do with A House for Alesa 2 and 3. So the answer woud be no: I wouldn't remake 2 and 3, but I'd definitely make sequels to this one.

Ahh I still need to play this! It’s been like 3 months but I’m so busy
