BRO THIS TOLO RATATONEY GUY, HE IS SO OP ITS UNFAIR
Haven't finished the game yet but I just wanna say that is SO MUCH FUN, I love everything from the designs of the characters to their personalities. I am aware that the big breasted characters and hypersexualisation might make some people uncomfortable, I take it as it is, a design choice that is classic of this author's games, it doesn't bother me that much too because you can see that the female characters have a personality and not just big bazoongas.
I can't wait to have the time to draw some fanart of the game! I have a soft spot for the carpenter, believe it or not lmao, the rabbit is SO pretty too.
Love it, can't wait to see even more games from the developer! (Played the Alesa ones, Mausoleosis, Doppelpartment, The Sakabashira Game, and others).
only 2 word...ABSOLUTE CINEMA
translation other than english and spanish needed
I noticed a small bug with cooking. You can make bread with no flour. If you have flour, cooking bread consumes it, but if you have no flour the pot still makes it and only oil is consumed
where is Alice?
This was an unexpected long playthrough that I've ever played, and it was an experience that I'll never forget. The boss fights were pretty long but it paid off in the end. I added timestamps into this long playthrough.
i wonder if this is inspired by alice is dead. like, damn, nostalgia..
Very nice game. My only pet peeve is that I can't seem to find any indicator of how much money I currently have
I don't know if you've already figured it out, but is at the bottom left of the menu, when you press ESC or X.
can you even defeat scalpel
yes
Amazing game really enjoyed it here is Part 1 of my playthrough
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
part 5
Part 6 last part really enjoyed the game from start to finish
Hey, this is the real ending if you decide not to stay.
Another great game, man
I want to know "I am one (ONE).
Then, I accepted 9000 and became more.
Part of me decided to leave (leave).
And then I was cut in half. "I can't understand the answer to this puzzle. I've been stuck all day ๐ข
"I am one (1)
Then, I accept 9000 more (9001)
One part of me leaves (9000)
Then, I get cut in half (4500) "
Oh! OK! Thank you very much! Your game is really fun! I love it! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ

Finally got around to my part 3
Thank you so much!
Cool game !
very good
Just finished it and I was so entertained!
Hey, A.V. Dossow, could you possibly next make a game heavily based on my favorite episode from my favorite TV show; "Dexter: Resurrection, Ep. 5 Murder Horny", I'd really love to see that.
Absolute cinema!
I really love this game! The gameplay is full of randomness, making it even more fun. The character illustrations are exquisite, and they all have voice acting. The storyline and endings are brilliantly designed! Especially the "Going Home" ending—it truly presents a dark fairy tale! I'm looking forward to your future game projects
im sorry but, why is she so sexualised???
It's a design choice of theirs and iconic to all their games. If you're afraid of attractive people and unironically did not think this game had mature elements, then you shouldn't be playing it.
NOTHING in this comment said they was afraid of attractive people bro, people like YOU are the reason why people are scared to comment.
I did not mean to offend, yeah I could have worded it better. My point still stands: It is disingenuous to ask why she is sexualised when the cover image for the game which you click on to play it is a well-endowed woman in a revealing outfit. At that point it is like walking into a butcher shop and asking 'why is there meat here?'
Anyway, no hard feelings
Holy ai response
idk it's kinda funny lol. why not
I found a bug, I think, at least I think it shouldn't be possible to walk around there. Well, near a place where there are two mushrooms, there's a trail of blood that goes straight and then curves. I followed the blood trail and went off the map, I even got lost walking straight, believe it or not ๐ I kind of got spoiled a lot, even for the end of the game ๐ Is there a way to fix this? It kind of ruined the experience. ๐
(Contains Spoilers) Overall this game is yet another great game from the legendary A.V. Dassow. The voice acting was amazing and it definitely felt as though the characters had personality behind them. The game was not only humorous at points with jokes and some of the voice acting, especially with Bill the lizard, but the game also balanced it out with morbid and darker themes. The character designs were 10/10 as usual and the map layout made the game feel ginormous, it was a billion times better than what I'd expect for a browser game.
(Spoilers) Another thing I'd like to add is that I loved the reference to previous game characters, it is nice to see them again. Furthermore, the multiple endings were all worth going back and watching through, one of the endings in particular made me realise just how morbid the game truly was, which caught me completely off guard considering Dassow typically has happy / joke endings. Despite being surprised by it, I found it to be such a cool twist although I will have to pretend that ending doesn't exist so I can cope better with the story.
Now for the critiques. The game takes around 6 hours to complete, which is great, I love playing these games. However, you'll spend roughly half this time waiting for your turn during battles, especially when you're up against either multiple enemies, enemies that do multiple types of attacks in one turn, or sometimes both. One of the hardest enemies in the game ended up being 2 sewer rats you find towards the end, they were harder than some of the bosses. They have this green attack that deals maybe 120 health to all of your characters, since theres 2 of them and you only have 500 health on your characters at this point of the game, you'll lose everyone in 2 turns if you aren't healing everyone fully between each attacking round. I'm not sure if I had incredibly bad RNG, but the dice rolls seemed to screw you over 80% of the time, in battle I was getting "lose 44-50" sanity the majority of the time, the only positive one I got was double loot. Because of this, you need to keep Alice at minimum 50 sanity points or you risk getting screwed over by a random dice roll. Speaking of, if you do happen to get a dice roll outside of combat, you best be prepared to lose anywhere from $1000 - $4500, which will prevent you from upgrading equipment, and makes searching corners of the map for coins redundant since you'll most likely lose it all in a dice roll.
Enemy placement in a-lot of areas seemed to be deliberate to slow you down. You will be faced with multiple tanky enemies that you cannot avoid since they sprint at you. After spending maybe 3 minutes to defeat one, you will face another one 15 seconds later. At points I was losing it because I couldn't go 20 seconds without bumping into another enemy. One recommendation I will give to anyone late in the game is DO NOT fight the blue scalpel guy after you defeat grey Alice. He is by far the most difficult enemy in the game, He has the ability to one shot multiple people in your team in a single round. I am not sure if he is a joke enemy that you are not meant to defeat, but I ended up just running around him which allowed me to finish the game. To sum up, the games story, character designs, voice acting, and atmosphere was all great, compared to previous games this one has a lot less puzzles and the few that do exist are very easy to solve, I assume this game was intended to be more of a fighting game than a puzzle.
As stated before, the game overall is an appealing blend of horror, enjoyment, and personality, with likeable characters and a well thought out storyline. It is well worth playing through and watching the end credits to make Dassow happy.
Thank you so much for the detailed review!
The game looks stunning, some voice acting is actually incredible and the gameplay is fun, not to mention the multitude of references to other classic A.V Dossow games.
The Retro part of the game was super nice, would not mind an entire game looking like that!!
If anything I would mention how the combat sometimes drags for too long, some enemies are damage sponges and sometimes it felt 70% of my attacks missed, is not that the combat was difficult, I think I died twice, it was just very bothersome towards the end having to wait for an enemy to cast 3 AoE spells before I got my turn.
At the end of the day I would say this is a very well rounded, comprehensive and solid game that, even if it's no my personal favorite, I can vouch for how worth it is to experience it. Specially the final part and the endings.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for the playthrough and the feedback Moriko!
Here's a fun fact: originally, the entire game was supposed to look like that (the retro graphics), I even had a prototype with some bosses and completed areas, and the combat wasn't in fist person view but rather sideview. However, I came up with a more detailed sprite for Alice with jiggly physics, and I settled for that aesthetic (the current one). Still, I decided to add the retro section to show what the game would have looked like (and an excuse to use all the retro sprites for the characters)
I agree that the combat tends to drag on, and some enemies used peritonitis way too much (at first I thought it was fun, but after watching gameplays, I realized it was actually tedious). This was my second real RPG after Billy Went to a Carnival, so I definitely still have a lot to learn when it comes to classic RPG battles and balance. I should mention that, by default, all attacks have 80% accuracy (in the demo, it was 100%, but I felt that it made some battles extremely easy)
I'm glad you enjoyed the cameos by Alesa, Julia and Scalpel! By the way, Scalpel can be defeated by giving him peritonitis and curse status, and he drops an item that instakills any enemy in the game (he's really tanky, but he's an optional superboss)
Thanks again Moriko! : D
Here is my part 2
I was really excited to experience this game after playing the demo.
And in the end, I got the satisfying experience I wished for.
The characters, the voice acting, and the story were pretty good, and kept me engaged until I finished it.
The voice actor for the Hatter did a phenomenal job, by the way.
His performance was my favorite out of all the others.
But I also want to give my compliments on the atmosphere, the music, and the art (all of it, not just the character portraits).
Some of these helped me a lot to immerse in the world I was exploring, and I couldn't ask better treatment from that perspectice.
When it comes to the combat system, I had a really good time with that as well.
I didn't feel any weird difficulty spikes through the game, and most of the boss fights were really satisfying.
I also appreciated how forgiving it was at times, especially towards the late game.
Keep in mind that I played on normal mode, though.
If there is something that made me roll my eyes was the final dungeon.
Its lack of enemy variety really impacted it negatively after the first half.
To the point where I wished I could end it sooner or face a new boss instead.
!!!!SPOILERS ALERT!!!
I bet you laughed your ass off when you made sure that Alice would lose all her Sanity after using the Scalpel.
You left me one hell of a surprise when I used it against the third phase of the final boss.
It didn't hit me as hard as the "Return to the Surface" ending, though.
That depiction of Alice returning to reality was very brutal.
Putting serious stuff aside, I was surprised that the BOING BOING BOING attack wasn't one of the most powerful AOEs in the game.
I mean, imagine if a ridiculous attack like that was able to wipe the entire party.
It would have been hilarious.
Thank you so much for the feedback BlueROSE404!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and I also reckon that the final dungeon needed a bit more of enemy variety (other than the bosses) and the second half of it might somewhat feel like a filler section haha, so I added the retro aesthetics to make it feel less "filler".
I actually wasn't aware that using the scalpel with Alice made her lose all of her sanity, that's actually a serious bug hahaha, so I'll have to fix it, although I'm sure it must have lead to some funny game over situations hahahah
The boing boing boing attack was supposed to be even more powerful, but it made some bosses too hard, so it had to be nerfed
Thanks again for the detailed feedback! : D
I love the white rabbit's big fat butt! Hopefully there will be even bigger in future games, good show!
frontbutt
Good game!
Thank you so much for the gameplay video evapilot03 : D!
Funny how there needed to be a disclaimer that there was no sexual content, in case the big boobs threw you off.
REVIEW/SPOILERS (it gets wordy):
I came back to my comment to give my full review after fully playing it. I really enjoyed it! It took me about ~5-7 hours to complete it in total (normal mode). The sanity aspect was a cool feature that I haven't really seen in other RPG Maker games I've played so far. Felt like there might've been some F&H inspiration.
As a chronic saver, I also really appreciate that there were a large amount of save files (I know some other games tend to have a small limited amount). I would also say that there was more of an emphasis on battles rather than puzzles, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something to point out.
For the battles, I think they were pretty solid overall. Later near the endgame, however, I think some of the enemies' attacks took really long (especially with attacks like peritonitis), which was a bit annoying. That, on top of the high HP, made the battles drag on for quite a while.
Speaking of high HP, there was one battle in particular that made me question "is this even possible to beat?" which was the battle against Scalpel (fun reference btw). I did eventually beat him though.
Another thing to point out was that some of the attack SFXs were really loud. Like, really loud. For example, I had the witch as a guardian spirit (?) and the "Summon the Witch" attack was SO LOUD. I had to take out my headphones every time I used that attack lol.
Also, not gonna lie, the Duchess battle threw me for a loop because I guess I wasn't expecting three forms (two maybe, but not the third one lol). It was annoying that I had to fight her third form again (refer back to my reply), but I can't really be mad.
But overall, I had a lot of fun! And for being a free game (which is WOW! btw), there was a lot of content to explore. Hoping to see this game get more attention!
BUG/SPOILER ALERT
Initially, the final boss form sprite didn't appear, but I could still play normally after I pressed retry, it's just that there was no sprite. However, after I killed her, the screen got stuck and I had to restart the game.
Good game but, why do you needed Alice to have such big melons ? Is it goonbait ?
They should've been bigger!
its just a good feature, variety of entertainment
very good
is it supposed to be 16:9 in fullscreen mode? doesnt look right...
Yes, fullscreen uses a plugin that leaves no empty borders, in order to avoid situations where the game looks too small and the text cannot be read properly (it can happen in certain computers/resolutions). I might change it in the future, but for now, it's kind of a preventive measure.
Windowed mode uses the default 816x624 resolution 1:1
Please give your next protagonist bigger chest
Thanks again for letting me partake on this incredible journey!
You did such an amazing job as Alice! It's been an honor to have you in the project!
