I really enjoyed the last game I've played which is Grotesqueresque. Just like every other games that I've played I never suspected where the game is going for because I never read the description of the game, I always want to surprise myself, and I enjoyed it.
This game managed to make me laugh out loud at times, while at others I was genuinely creeped out by the characters and what was happening around me. It was unhinged, it was fun, it was unpredictable and I loved playing through it. Severely underrated game! Here's my gameplay if anyone's interested ^-^
Yes, the story of the game is a bit classic but it is well crafted. Some of the character dialogues were mischievous and funny, I smiled from time to time while playing :D. The character designs were also extremely nice, they were scary and funny. I normally don't like pixel games like this in terms of game design, but this game changed my mind. It's a very good game, we are looking forward to the sequel. Good luck..
great game,with different endings ,art is amazing .not scary enough though,ill rate it 9/10 .it was hard for me because i was attached to the people and i really spare them 4 it was sad that mr beard cant talk and bearded anime man too ,i spare the flirty one and red hooded ,and i love how i can name them and funny options too like wth mommy? i m sad for the two bearded man there my favorite,,wish i could be a girl on the game or a grandma i dont want to be called mr:<<< its awesome playing your game ,had a best experience on deciding hope you create more games like thus..add female or male charater please<33333
great game! i was hesitant at first with the doppelganger concept and all that fear mongering stuff, but i actually really enjoyed the game! i think you did the doppelganger genre justice imo. 10/10 would be 12/10 if there were more episodes of the soap opera /lh /j i need to see the one true romance in this game /j /j

I believe that I definitely could have implemented the doppelganger concept way better, and it might have clashed with the mutation element a bit, but I ultimately wanted to entertain people, so I'm happy with the results! and I guess the soap opera will have to continue in another game one day hahaha
oh, i 100% love what you did with the mutation element with the doppelganger concept! I think it made everything you do in the game have more of an effect of how to go about things and 'why' you do them ^.^ I'm sorry if my msg came off as 'i don't like the doppelganger concept', because i do, i just particularly love what you did for this game more then other doppelganger games that I've played, sorry if i got things twisted :,) i cant wait to see if, and what else, you make! I haven't played the game but wdym gay characters weren't really necessary for the vibe haha, gay characters are in the game because gay people exist, not for "vibes". that's like being confused on why POC are in a videogame saying they dont add anything to the plot lol

And question, the game mentioned that the doppelgangers were randomized. Do they act different depending on whether they are doppelgangers or not? And if I played again, would they be randomized again? Just trying to see if I should do a second playthrough!

They get randomized on day 1, just before you collect rent. There's a minimum of 5 doppelgangers per game (someone even got 11 doppelgangers in the final results and just 1 human tenant)
10/10, I cried when I had to choose whether or not to krill Pablo Escobar ( moustache man ). This game was the definition of absolute cinema, short but absolute gold.
easily one of the most interesting games ive played in a while, i really enjoyed the experience and my cohost really gave it his all with the voices lmao

Really want to play this, but getting error code on attempting to run in browser (using a PC, Chrome browser). The error says it couldn't open Metamask. Hope to see this resolved-- will come back and try again later!
I'm sorry you got that error! The browser version is working fine, so this error most likely has to do with either your computer or your internet connection. Browser versions tend to have errors if the connection isn't stable enough, and if it's not that, then it's most likely your pc. I'm afraid I haven't heard of that metamask error before, so I wouldn't know a solution, but I'm certain that it's not related to the game itself, since I've checked it and everything's working fine (this is also the first time someone has gotten that error with one of my games)
I played it for about 30 minutes, and I’d say it has potential. Maybe it’s just me—I’m from a big city, so I don’t really know or care much about tenants which is wierd when considering they are close to you just behind another doors. Concept is pretty nice. I’d suggest making the beginning faster and changing how the game starts, because it’s quite confusing at first. Once you’re awake, though, the game looks two times better—if not more
I would say - add some story expands, change the hazy screens and the story can be sold at steam at some point.
Game now as it is - is very good and i reccomend to everyone who likes stories to play it .
I will follow and cannt wait to see another games or upgraded version of this game.

I don't have plans to upgrade this game at the moment, but I definitely want to make more new games with similar but more polished gameplay/concepts!
I think it's impactful how we all end up dying anyway (at least in most of the endings) since the player spends so much time with each tenant and then suddenly you're forced to kill them. I personally was sad when John (tenant 8, mustache man) had to go. Sad dude. Unfortunately he was a doppler since like day 2.
same thing happened to me ! I named him bob and was so miserable bc I KNEW from day 2/3 he was a doppleganger :( I was gaslighting myself into thinking he was just drunk and grieving and not dead
I'm afraid I don't use Mac, so I dont' really know what could be the issue. Rpg Maker as a native MAC export option, I just do that, then compress the folder in a zip file. I can try exporting again though

Wow. this was an excellent game! took roughly 1.5 hrs to complete and figure out all 4 endings :) such an awesome concept and it was so well done. the uncanny valley art and everything!

I named him José and was not a doppler for me :0 way worse then to kill him but I had to, he said he was in a lot of pain ;-;
