Love the game so far, and I especially love Merilyn's design.
However, the map was a little confusing at first so I made a key. Red is the room you're currently in, Light blue rooms are outside, and Purple rooms are inside (but not the one you're in.) It might seem obvious, but I feel like others might also have trouble.
Very good game! Reminded me of the old classic side-scrolling horror games of the 80s and 90s. Great job! The biggest thing I would nit-pick is to add the retry button to all the endings as well so we don't have to go through the whole tediousness of waiting for the end credits, then starting the game over, then selecting the save file. The way you have it set up on the death screen is perfect! Also, if you could make it so that you can choose the time for the ethereal clock, that would be nice as well. But like I said, nit-picks! Well done overall!
Thank you so much for playing and for the gameplay! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I always aim for a 80's b-horror film vibe in my games, so I'm glad I was able to achieve it I agree with what you mentioned about the credits (they definitely should have included a skip button) and the ethereal clock (I guess that's why I didn't include more areas that required the clock, since using the clock was a bit annoying
I havent fully completed the game yet, but for now, I can say that the music, story, and gameplay is pretty good. The art is amateurish, but its definetly passable. I was not expecting the game would just let you jump off a cliff, thats new! Nine endings is a lot of content, which I like. And Merylin is
(A little late to this one) What a way to finish the year with another great A.V DOSSOW game, this really feels like a throwback to your classic games, just one busty girl against unspeakable horrors of a house, great monster design, specially the hydra like babies and the jumping girls (And of course Green goth mommy).
The time manipulation mechanic was great although I feel it was a not used a lot (But boy using it during it the chase scene GOOD LORD it was good); Another thing I feel it was funny it's how the endings were just a couple of lines of text, I feel they are usually a bit more complex.
Overall I think this game boasts one of the best art and music in your games but, it somehow lacks a certain punch, I am not even sure how to properly explain it nor is a bad thing necessarily.
Hope you had a good year and I would like to thank you for a year of amazing games and wish you the best for 2025.
Moriko! Thank you so much for playing and for the playthrough!
I actually started this project months ago, even before the bigfoot game, but I had abandoned it as I had no idea of what to do with it. I finally decided to turn the project into something playable and decent and this came out.
I agree that some of the mechanics definitely are underused, like the ethereal clock or the closets. I even thought of adding some sort of combat mechanics, but I didn't really want this game to be too long.
This was supposed to more of a short spiritual succesor to "A House for Alesa" (even though I have more Alesa games planned for 2025). I think it definitely has some of the vibes from the first Alesa game ( and Imelda is pretty much a Greta ripoff) but the game itself is definitely on a smaller scale.
I also agree that it lacks a certain punch. Like, I'm happy with the atmosphere, sprites, music, aesthetics, death scenes, etc, but after replaying it, it definitely feels like it needed something more to really feel complete. Perhaps a better antagonist (like Mr. Bob), documents (or VHS tapes that explained certain things, as you mentioned) or more detailed endings. I guess I was also a bit out of ideas at this time of the year, specially after the "Julia was Alone" saga.
I'll also keep in mind the outfits suggestion for future projects (being able to alternate between them in-game). People enjoyed that in A House for Alesa 3, I definitely should have taken a bit more time and implemented it here as well.
Anyways
As always, thank you so much for playing the game and your feedback, Moriko! I'll definitely come back with more games next year hahahha
This was an amazing game. It took me 2 and a half hours to complete, but it was mostly due to me dying the same way like 5 times (going to sleep/leaving by car at different times). It also took me way too much to get the 5th ending, but luckily I remembered about the note of the ghost of the roads. Still, amazing game. I will play a bit to see the rest of the outfits. But, it was a 10/10 and you deserve a follow. Great game
Unfortunately, my computer says they can't be downloaded. I'm not an expert about informatics and I genuinely don't know what's wrong with my computer.
I genuinely hope that you create a sequel to this game: it was splendid to play it. I've particularly liked the character of Imelda and the role she had in the story. By the way, I've noticed that you like to represent lesbians and bisexuals in your games, like this one, the 'A house for Alesa' saga's games and of course 'Cannibal Mermaids' Trench'. Is it due to personal reasons or a mere coincidence?
This game is awesome! I would love to help you with the Italian localization :) you can find a part of my portfolio on the site micolpennese.com. Let's talk in private! And congratulations again :)
Play this game with the "Laugh tracks" activated makes the game an even bigger shitpost LOL, and by the way, thanks so much for adding portuguese language to the game, its even better to play it
i got my dose of avdossowcillin - it provided my brain with enough weirdopamins, boobalants and gigglators for another couple of months😊 the only nitpick is that after achieving an ending i have to either watch all the credits, or exit the game and then choose language , agree to some text i didnt read to not spoil the game and it's every time... also what a wonderfull random coincidence that ending where they merge with Imelda is 6/9 ending...
I'll keep in mind what you mentioned about the text when restarting the game, it definitely should have been kept in the screen when you start a new game (and I'll definitely include a skip credits option for my next game)
The ending thing was 100% a coincidence, I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it hahahah

Initially, there were supposed to be 15 endings, but it was too much and I was running out of ideas hahah
Marilyn is a 34 year old woman.
She eats.
She reads a book.
She takes a shower.
She tries not to die.
Cool game. I had a lot of fun.
Thank you mochi2400!

Could you please tell me where to find the ending guide, Mr. Dossow?
It can be found in the downloadable versions, inside the rar files
Unfortunately, my computer says they can't be downloaded. I'm not an expert about informatics and I genuinely don't know what's wrong with my computer.
I uploaded the guide as an individual text file, you should be able to download it now
Thank you, Mr. Dossow.

Mere coincidence, although it also depends on what fits the story better
