Hey, I love these games so far! I only discovered it 3 days ago but I've already played all 3 chapters & started introducing it to friends. If I may ask, is there an anticipated release date for Ch4? Or if it is already out, where could I find it? I've become invested in the story & am deeply curious to find out what happens next.

Another excellent chapter. This chapter focuses heavily on the world of Julia Was Alone, providing context and back story for the eerie situation we find ourselves in. It also gives us new info, things to theorize over about what's coming next (Like why exactly we befriended a rat on the way to find the messiah perhaps?).
Perfect way to tie up loose ends and provide direction for the story heading into Chapter 4. Great work!
SPOILERS in this comment!! I absolutely love the game! I double every positive comment here. I just want to give feedback on the Scalpel Guy boss battle. Not only is it too long, it is more frustrating than complicated - It is very hard to move you character because of the invisible walls in the room, especially considering they are asymetrical, and I believe it could benefit from a reduction to like 40 seconds.
Aside from that, love this! You are so immensely talented, can't wait for Chapter 4!!!

I thought the story was weird with the rat joining the party, but I liked the puzzles. Then I thought this would be the last chapter since there were already 2 endings. Looking forward to chapter 4. :)
Every time I see you have a new game out I immediately play it as soon as I can! As a high school student who doesn't have a real PC, I love playing your games especially in the browser. Your games never fail to have me invested in the story and game play itself. Keep up the amazing work!
simply splendid! i don't remember if i mentioned in chapter 2 but this lore is deep enough to be a full-length film or dystopian novel! wow! loving it, loving the minigames, and especially admiring your particular talent!! keep it up in all your endeavours!

I would be interested in an italian translation in the future! It would have to be after the 4th chapter though, and I would need to copy all the text and dialog in a special document (it would take some time). But that definitely would be awesome so more people can enjoy the game! After the 4th chapter, I intend to publish a "definitive edition" of the game that would benefit from including more translations. Chapter 3 is just, exactly what I was expecting, such a nice experience, the chapters are short but they are so close together that they create this incredible Cliffhangery magic that allows me to make theories and then see if I was right after the chapter is released, very good use of episodic release.
-----SPOILERS AHEAD--------- Loved the addition of the mouse, just what the game needed, the art is somehow even better in this one, the city landscapes and Barbathiel are great but that neck twisting animation! More of that please! It was so good.
My favorite part of this chapter was the fact that we switch perspectives a lot, with the soldier, Julia, the mother, the Father, it was done so smoothly.
As overall I still like chapter 1 the most, then 3 and 2, overall all of them pretty good and now I can see each chapter has a unique gameplay and narrative that makes it unique, and that really elevates this game series.

Right from Chapter 1, I intended this to feel like some sort of tv series/show/multiple parts film, and I'm glad I've managed to capture that vibe, at least in Chapters 1 and 3 (2 definitely is the weakest, but it was necessary to connect 1 and 3).
The neck twisting animation was made by Newmonia and it was her idea, since originally, it was just Scalpel's sprite with a hole in his head that closed fast. Even I'm still impressed by the neck twisting/regeneration animation, it was perfect for the end of the chapter.
I'm glad you enjoyed the change of perspectives! Another "cinematic resource" that I reckon might be a bit hard to pull of in a game with such simplistic graphics, but I'm glad it worked, specially thanks to Newmonia's portraits. The exorcist from the beginning will obviously come back in Chapter 4 and he'll play a very important role, since he's the host of the angel that was inside mutant Julia's body. The change of perspective will also make a return since it's a great way to connect everything and flesh out the characters.
The mouse was more of a last minute addition; I was worried about the reception it would get but I'm glad players have liked the mouse so far! This character will also return for the next Chapter. I have a rule of never having animal harm in my games, so players con rest assured that, one way or another, he'll be safe.
Thanks again Moriko, for playing not only this but pretty much every game I've made! Even if you don't record it, I hope you enjoy the final chapter of the Julia was Alone series! I'll make sure to make it the best one out of the four!
