Thank you! : D I'm afraid you can't survive during the first loops, since that would be a problem for the plot and the following chapters. Most of these mysteries will be explained in Chapter 2 (coming soon!)
Thank you, I really appreaciate the feedback! At first, this was supposed to be a really short game with a far different ending and less weird stuff. Then, it became some sort of demo/teaser for a bigger story. I even considered releasing the full game (and not different chapters), but I had never made an episodic game before, so I wanted to try that. The reason why it feels so linear is because it serves as a prologue and, for the sake of the story (and in order to avoid big spoilers), there couldn't be much variation in terms of story. In hindsight, I should have added more stuff that didn't interfere with the story, but since it's too late for this chapter, Chapter 2 will have more exploration, choices, etc.
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed your gameplay and your commentary! : D The fact that you didn't save before the final section took me by surprise hahaha
Ok...this game is legit terrifying and I mean that in the best possible way. Excellent little game here, kept me very much on my toes and I am eager to see chapter 2!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! : D To be honest, I didn't really expect it to be scary (probably because of the "cute" sprites and the limited palette and how hard it is to make something creepy with a more simplistic style), but I'm glad that some players found it unsettling/eerie! Chapter 2 is coming along really well, and although I need to save some mysteries for the final chapter, I hope I can provide some interesting answers to some of the mysteries of Chapter 1!
I think the cuteness of the sprites actually increased the horror to an extent for me (the juxtaposition really worked here!). I'm very excited to see what comes up next. I'm curious about how many chapters there will be total?
I PLAYED THIS AND I WAS LIKE "wow this looks alot like billy went to a carnival" NOT KNOWING THAT U MADE THAT GAME TOO AAAAAAAA U HAVE ALOT OF TALENT THO!!!! HOPE CHAPTER 2 COMES OUT SOONNN ^^
That's soo creepy cuz my name is Julia, I'm turning 19 tomorrow, obvi I love horror stuff and my dream is to be a novelist. So that soo creepy how everything is adding up.
simply incredible I loved the game I'm 🤯for chapter 2 I really want to play I'm a huge fan of [house for Alesa] and my favorite game get well Av lots of strength health we need you the other games are complete rubbish compared to yours thanks for creating these wonderful games would love to be a Beta test 😌❤️
Thank you so much for your support and your kind words, I really appreciate it! : D You shouldn't call other games rubbish though hahahah, every game is good In their own way! Some people hate my games, and I respect that, we all have different tastes. Still, I'm glad you like my games! : D And Chapter 2 will be way better and with more options, choices, gameplay and horror!
sorry Av looking like this it seems like I'm a horrible person it was bad Av 😅 I have some ideas for future house for Alesa 5 and 6 if you do it I still feel that the house for Alesa 4 is not the end please don't say that house for Alesa 4 eo end of this saga 😢 will the mermaid game have a sequel? Will Bigfoot also have a sequel? Av because this recent game you released the protagonist doesn't have big breasts or a big body like other games I'm not complaining I love your games but I was just surprised Av please I wanted to be one of the beta testers I'm sorry for not being able to help you with money 😞 if I could I would give you 1 billion just to make sure you never stop creating games thank you for seeing my message it was an honor 😌❤️
I'm afraid there's already an official beta tester who has also helped with gameplay, so that role is already taken, but thank you anyway!
There will probably be another Alesa game by the end of the year. I have a lot of fun making Alesa games, and there's always something a new and crazy story to tell!
every single one of ur game is so bad, generic and boring.
i know whats gonna happen and that is not fun in horror, the characthers have a peanunt instead of a brain, the art is cool but that dosent save the game at all...
But this game was different, now there is a thing that i cannot control(death loop) and that changes everything, now this game, is the only game i enjoyed playing from this creator.
very weird of u to word it like that. i personally love all the games he's made, they're pretty cute and i like the puzzles. very rare to find good rpg horror games
ok but why the fanservice, one of the things that i hated the most was goin ending after ending and seing the 14 seconds log cutscene of alisa in the bath naked like WHY?
i agree that's a bit weird but that's just kinda how he makes these games, even his other games got girls with weird body proportions. u are allowed to be pissed off about it but saying " i hate u " goes kinda overboard lmao
just ignore his games honestly, they might not be for u, try some other creators there's other good horror rpg games here
NOPE, i was happy because i dont like games that ihavent finished, so it was about time the ai got better and could win the fuking game, i say it, i.hate.ever.game.of.this.creator. No offense but omg WHY everything is so bad.
Ahh!! Dude this was so scary!! Haha I had to laugh at myself, I had to literally like walk away and take a break cuz I was getting so legitimately scared. Really fantastic atmosphere, you're so good at that.
The art is so cute and well balanced tone / readability wise. I didn't even realize until WAY late in the game that the palette was so limited and that REALLY speaks to how well it's done. The sprites were readable and creepy when they needed to be and the character art looks so nice! I loved all the small details in the house and how familiar I felt with the house by the end.
Spoilers I thought the slow reveal of the messed up pictures was so well done, it was so creepy and unreality and eerie! It reminded me of this weird kids movie my little brother loved, Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland? There's this part where he thinks he's woken up but he's STILL in the nightmare and his room is just a little OFF and it used to completely TERRIFY me as a child haha. The unreality vibe of this game really reminded me of that, REALLY well done.
I appreciated all the small dialogue changes, that kind of thing is so little and SO satisfying when you notice it. I loved the perspective of the art, the way it felt like I was peering into a TV, if that makes sense haha. The way the stairs just disappeared was really unsettling haha.
Your feedback is awesome and really valuable! I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the progression/revelations, but I'm also glad that you found it unsettling and got scared for real hahaha!
Hopefully, Chapter 2 will live up to everyone's expectations and it'll definitely be longer and crazier!
Thanks again for playing and leaving your feedback! : D
Gracias KabaWindow! La linealidad en este caso fue un poco inevitable por el tema de los bucles (además de que esto más que un capítulo, es una especie de demo), pero el gameplay del segundo capítulo va a tener que tener nuevas mecánicas (lo de los bucles ya no funcionaría)
I know it would add a lot of extra work, but if there were a few paths or side exploration, it would help a lot. Everything felt like it was on rails and I was more of a passenger than a player. The only things I found that seemed like extra elements were going into the garden for two extra scares, escaping the killer for a few rooms, getting caught by mother, and finding the motor oil, which I never found a use for. Some puzzle solving could get me more invested. Good atmosphere though.
Another Amazing Game! I Don't know if I should be scared or impressed with how fast you have been making these Games. Anyways I really Hope to see A Chapter 2 of this soon :D
Thank you so much Llama! You've played pretty much all of my games since the first Alesa and I always enjoy watching your gameplays! This one came out fast because it was quite simple and mostly just a teaser of what's to come (also working with that limited palette makes thing even easier) I hope Chapter 2 delivers, since it will be longer and crazier!
I LOVE it. As a hugee A.V. Dossow fan, who's played all the itch.io games released, I have to say, I'm looking forward to the next chapters. Really, really, really love the atmosphere and the music, and the way this game messes with your brain. Can't wait to go mad with the next chapters XD
I realized that you want to see if people would be interested in a second chapter, so I'll say; I'd love to see Chapter 2, I'm super invested in the attic mystery.
Thanks Alz! I'm glad people are invested in the mystery! There are some hints to the mystery (Barbara is a key character), but I guess the mystery will finally be solved next month!
Now THIS is what RPGmaker horror games are all about! A really unique and beautiful art style, a nice gameplay loop, good confusion and a lot of mystery surrounding everything; This game was so much fun, from start to finish, even if the house is small and there is not a lot of unique interactions, there is a lot to see in unique events.
---SPOILERS AHEAD---
The crazy demented killer looks really, well demented, a nice face for the project, I also loved robo mom when she breaks, the house slowly degrading with this color palette was so nice to see, I lowkey wanted Julia to mention it but it never happened until the end.
I'd like to say I am a seasoned RPGmaker horror player and this game caught me by surprise a couple of times! A lot of creativity for sure was poured into this one and of course I want more of this!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback Moriko! This was a just a small experimental project to test out some palette limitations and different map perspectives (this was a really fun to make, instead of the typical top down view and standard use of tilesets), and initially it was going to be just one chapter with a creepy ending, but then we came up with the idea of making it into something bigger with monthly chapters. The story and universe will get even bigger and crazier, and there might be material for 3 more chapters.
Chapter 1 was going to end with the revelation of what's in the attic, but ending it just before finding the secret is a better cliffhanger.
The reason why at first Julia doesn't acknowledge the changes around, is because she's been going through this so many times, that her brain normalizes most weird stuff now. While she still reacts to some events and characters (and she retains some emotions), she's a bit dead inside. Although this also relates to the attic, so things might be a bit more clear in Chapter 2

this was extraordinary and unique! i love this game so much and seriously would love a chapter2!
Thank you so much! Chapter 2 is on its way, it will definitely happen!
nice game! I really like your art design its so unique! and a litte question: i want to know if i can survive or its just a loop or tbc in ch2?
Thank you! : D
I'm afraid you can't survive during the first loops, since that would be a problem for the plot and the following chapters. Most of these mysteries will be explained in Chapter 2 (coming soon!)
ohhh cant wait to play ch2! thank you for your excellent work!

how do you open your inventory
First, access the menu (x or press the menu icon, top right of the screen) then choose "items"
On keyboard, the x button should allow you to open your menu and then there is an option for "items!"
Ohhh that cliffhanger is brutal :D
hahaha awesome! :D
I PLAYED THIS AND I WAS LIKE "wow this looks alot like billy went to a carnival" NOT KNOWING THAT U MADE THAT GAME TOO AAAAAAAA U HAVE ALOT OF TALENT THO!!!! HOPE CHAPTER 2 COMES OUT SOONNN ^^
hahahaha how could you tell?
I thought most people wouldn't recognize me (even though my name is in the intro)
Thank you so much! Chapter 2 will probably be available in 2 weeks
Nice game! Simple objective & interesting story. I wonder what's behind the attic. Looking forward to chapter 2... :)
Awesome, I'm glad you liked it! : D
Chapter 2 will probably be available during the second week of August!
Thanks for playing!
Played this game on my channel as part of my random horror series. Can't wait for the rest of the chapters I'm intrigued.
Thank you so much for playing and the gameplay!
There'll probably be 2 more chapters, although I wouldn't discard a 4th one
El juego me gustó, aún con su simpleza logra ponerme nervioso, jugaré el capítulo 2 cuando salga
Genial! El próximo mes ya estará disponible!
Super j'ai adoré!
Thanks for playing!
Omg i love this chapter, cant wait for next ;3 (i feel so short of scary on the end LOL) but so good ;p
this game is a master piece
That's soo creepy cuz my name is Julia, I'm turning 19 tomorrow, obvi I love horror stuff and my dream is to be a novelist. So that soo creepy how everything is adding up.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the game and found it creepy! : D

Ever heard of psychological horror?
does not evoke any feelings either tbh

Thank you, I really appreciate it! :D
I had a lot of fun, this was dope. Can't wait for chapter 2
