Now THIS is what RPGmaker horror games are all about! A really unique and beautiful art style, a nice gameplay loop, good confusion and a lot of mystery surrounding everything; This game was so much fun, from start to finish, even if the house is small and there is not a lot of unique interactions, there is a lot to see in unique events.
---SPOILERS AHEAD---
The crazy demented killer looks really, well demented, a nice face for the project, I also loved robo mom when she breaks, the house slowly degrading with this color palette was so nice to see, I lowkey wanted Julia to mention it but it never happened until the end.
I'd like to say I am a seasoned RPGmaker horror player and this game caught me by surprise a couple of times! A lot of creativity for sure was poured into this one and of course I want more of this!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback Moriko! This was a just a small experimental project to test out some palette limitations and different map perspectives (this was a really fun to make, instead of the typical top down view and standard use of tilesets), and initially it was going to be just one chapter with a creepy ending, but then we came up with the idea of making it into something bigger with monthly chapters. The story and universe will get even bigger and crazier, and there might be material for 3 more chapters.
Chapter 1 was going to end with the revelation of what's in the attic, but ending it just before finding the secret is a better cliffhanger.
The reason why at first Julia doesn't acknowledge the changes around, is because she's been going through this so many times, that her brain normalizes most weird stuff now. While she still reacts to some events and characters (and she retains some emotions), she's a bit dead inside. Although this also relates to the attic, so things might be a bit more clear in Chapter 2
Thank you MrClockWorks! : D I had already watched the video in your stream, I really enjoyed wathcing it! Thanks for playing, I really want to continue this project and give players a satisfying answer to what's in the attic! (the answer is actually ready, and it might be a bit too crazy)
Really great game! The artwork and character models are beautiful, I love the minimalistic art palate, it really works well especially as the house starts to distort and deteriorate.
I'm really excited for chapter 2! Chapter 1 was a really interesting opening; I was definitely getting a mix of 'Happy Death Day' and the game 'Mothered' by Enigma Studios. I really curious to see where you take this game and find out what is in the attic!
Meeka! I love your gameplays! Thank you so much for playing and your feedback, awesome video! : D While I haven't played "Mothered", I reckon there might a bit of influence from "Happy Death Day" since I really liked that film. I'm glad the cliffhanger piqued your curiosity hahaha!
The garden is to the right of the kitchen. No matter what, Julia always gets killed (at least in these first loops). So actually, getting caught immediately ends the loop faster
I originally considered adding a "game over" screen unless the death took place in the garden, but I thought that would have been a bit lame, and the idea is that, no matter what, Julia (and the player) can't fight against fate (at least in that segment)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! : D Hopefully, enough people will show interest, and then, the following chapters would be released monthly until the game is finished
um acrtually if i was Julia i would have backflipped 3 times over the maniacs head and used a resengan on him and then emoted like a sigma alpha wolf 🤓🤓🤓

Just understood that from playing the game. That's ingenious

A seriously amazing game, can't wait to see the other chapters. Enjoyed every second of this game.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! : D
