After customs clearance five times, I haven't played enough. Personally, I think Alesa series is the most fun and top (for me) I have ever played ❤️
To be honest, I actually hope that Alesa series can produce a visual novel, plus some choices that will trigger terrorist events (the sound effect can be lowered).
This second phase is really hard, I feel like an idiot for not passing. What do I have to do to get past that black sword? I've even tried waiting for the right moment to pass, but I keep dying. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Besides, if that black sword hits me, it's an instant kill, even though I have 4 or more hearts. 🤯😵
Yes, some attacks are instakill, but the yellow warning sign signals what tiles are not safe, so that's key to surviving the attack. I guess you're referring to the second boss, the ghost? Just pay attention to where the warning sign is and get away from that area
You did an excellent job by designing the atmosphere, the monsters, the bosses, and the levels.
Despite having some favorites, I had a balanced good time with all of them.
The new design of the Mother was also wonderful.
Her stage was pretty fun as also the third one with the elevator.
The victory dance and that scene where you get the last weapon were absolute cinema.
It has been a while since I laughed so hard.
I only wished that there was more variety in terms of functionality for the weapons because they all work in the same way.
I think that if each one of them had specific bonuses and/or maluses against certain enemies would have made the combat aspect more satisfying.
!!!SPOILERS!!!
I'm going to be honest.
The scene where Jesus Christ gives the blessed chainsaw to Alesa is excellent, but it would have been even better if she didn't use that weapon in a previous stage.
Obtaining that cool ass weapon only to kill the final boss would have been more epic.
Kinda how it was done in the first Resident Evil with the Rocket Launcher.
PS. I forgot to mention that I faced a minor but constant bug while playing the game.
Basically, Alesa's sprite would appear at middle-top or left-top of the screen from time to time.
This happened while interacting with some events like picking up the weapons and jumping from a platform to another.
Not always but sometimes when I interacted with those for the first time as well.
Thank you BlueRose, really helpful feedback! I'm glad you had fun with the game! I definitely should have included different enemy death animations for the different weapons, but I was eager to publish the game haha I had that bug while playtesting the game, but I've seen people play it and not have it, so I think it might be related to the user's computer rather than the game (maybe lag?). It happens when the game is instructed to change Alesa's sprite through a common event call. There definitely has to be a workaround for that, although it's understandable, since Rpg Maker isn't intended for this kind of game
It's been a while since I was early to an Alesa game, loved the Splatterhouse vibe, now I can only imagine an Alesa beat em up~ I kind of cheesed all the bosses by hugging a wall but they all have great designs, I specially enjoyed running from the mother and the Greta fight (She is so cute!).
As usual I am still very surprised at the wonders that you can do with RPGmaker and can't wait for more Alesa spin offs!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback Moriko! This was definitely inspired by Splatterhouse, and I also wanted to challenge the limits of Rpg Maker and try to do some cool stuff. It's definitely really hard to make a beat em up/action platformer in Rpg Maker, but I had a lot of fun making this one. I'll definitely keep challenging the limits of the engine, but I'm not sure if I'll continue this spin off for Alesa (I might just move forward to A House for Alesa 5)

If Alesa House was around in the NES day's this would be a smash horror hit great job.
Definitely the biggest Alesa has been so far. Instant 10/10.
definitely not the right engine for this kind of game, cool music and visuals tho
