Mausoleosis
David received a very concerning letter from his mother, asking him to go pick her up as she's lonely and scared.
However, there's a problem: David's mother has been dead for 20 years.
He could have ignored the letter...but he didn't.
David decides to go to the mausoleum where his mother was buried in order find out the truth...

for some reason I can't see the options? there aren't any choices for me so im a bit stuck with the ending where I die very fast. Very good game though, the graphics are beautiful

I already finished all endings but, does reading the books that explain the history influence? or are they just there to help us understand the story without affecting the game if you read them or not
Not really, they're optional. They don't affect the outcomes
I like the game, I did it the ending 4 and I have a question ¿The main character is a entidy or something else? Or there are more endings that explain more details? (I don't know Speak English very well)
David is human, but there's an ancient demonic entity inside him. David was the first succesful vessel in 100 years

I wanted to focus on horror and make something more serious (jiggle physics tend to make games feel less serious or not so horrifying). But I'll eventually make more games with jiggle physics, as they are a great way to improve spriting and animation skills

Like the game! Only disappointment was how Whiskers seemed ultimately pointless aside from being a reason for Iris to be there. I really expected the kitty to attack the bad guy.
SPOILERS INCOMING BELOW!
For thoughts I had that weren't negative ones. It feels oddly like there should be a different ending for being more...'neutral' to Iris. Never being entirely anti-social or entirely manipulative creep that's obviously messing around with the mind of a younger woman.
One where it's a 'good' ending, but an ultimately boring one that also still leaves the fact he's got that 'lord' inside of him totally untouched and left hanging like he could still be murdering people in secret. The heroes are both safe, but...IS THE REST OF THE WORLD?
Also, what was the deal with the other figure that could attack you? It felt like there could be some more story or a seeeeecret hiding there.
Initially, I considered some additional endings, but I didn't have enough time to implement them and the jam was about to end (the submission period). I even considered giving David and Iris a somewhat "happy ending" where they lived as a couple and David kept murdering people in secret, but ultimately discarded it. Perhaps in the future I could add at least that ending as an additional bonus.
The other undead entity is supposed to be another ghoul (i. e. a really evil person who eventually became a ghoul some time after their death), probably someone who belonged to the cult and was left forgotten in that area. There were supposed to be even more undead entities, but I was running out of time.
Maybe one day I'll continue the story.
By the way, the canon ending is the third one, where Iris stabs David. David isn't dead though; that's why his body was never found (the entity inside him was actually awakened by Iris' attack)

If you just want a picture of evil David in-game, you could take a screenshot. There are playthroughs on youtube, you can just pause the video, toggle fullscreen and take a screenshot. But I don't think it would be appropiate to share the individual David portrait without consulting Kazu first, since they created the art

What do you need exactly?
If you just need a picture of David being evil, you should take a look at some of the videos on youtube, specifically the thumbnails. The thumbnail for Manlybadasshero's video is evil David, so you could take a screenshot of that thumbnail (or download the preview thumbnail)
hi, i was wondering if this is a bug? i feel like the characters are supposed to be able to go up here but i can't go up, pressing up or enter on the keyboard doesn't do anything. the game is really fun so far but i think i'm stuck
Hello! You just need to interact with those devices with a green outline. The tile with the device next to skull is as far as you can climb

Edit : after seeing all the endings, I didn't expect the twist, even so, David is still an interesting character (and I love him), All the fans who watched the playthrough were in shock from the twist, they were hoping for a rosy ending (Happy ending for Iris and David), I even misled them to think that Iris and David would end together, so the twist would be more impacting, some of them even started guessing the events for the sequel and how Iris will fight the demon inside David to free him but when they saw the endings they lost all hope for this couple XD, everyone enjoyed the game so much

Even though I could spot the plot twist from the beginning, the game was very enjoyable and the presentation was catchy! I loved the animations of mommy running toward the mausoleums, the consistent color palette, your sprite work and the hints you gave to have the player guess David's true intentions. It was very fun!

like the plot, character design, digital artwork and overall map concept. there is only one personal thing that has been bothering me is the length of the map seemed to be unnecessarily long (a bit sleepy). It would be great to reduce the size (reduce the plain walking screens) and I am looking forward to your future projects.
